Eric Paul Gervais, 53, passed away November 19, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in Gainesville, Florida. He was born March 11, 1972 in Raceland, Louisiana. Eric faithfully served the Lord a little over 30 years in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and Florida. In February of 2009, he began what would be his last place of service as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Salt Springs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Mary Beth Gervais; son, Justis Gervais (Alyssa); daughter, Caroline Peyton (Jeremy); parents; Robert and Donna Gervais; Grandmother, Laura Mae Chauvin; brother, Joshua Gervais; sister, Michelle Folse (Troy); grandchildren, Elijah and Baby Peyton; Nieces and nephews, Keeli Douglas, Trevor Folse, Jackson Douglas, Chance Douglas and Trista Folse.
A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Salt Springs. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
