Eric Gwinn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Reeb Funeral Home on Mar. 30, 2026.
Eric Lanford Gwinn, born on August 14, 1973, son of Marcia Rellinger (Schwind) and Lanford Gwinn (deceased), age 52, dedicated father, loving husband and son; of Toledo, Ohio passed away on March 23, 2026.

Eric was a loving and generous father and husband. Eric enjoyed travel-especially cruising-visiting over nine countries with his wife and family. He loved reading and sharing books with his daughters. Most of all he loved being with his family, including his beloved dog, Joy. Eric was a hard worker who most recently worked as a technician for CPI. He enjoyed using those same skills at home and was the guy who could fix almost anything (he was often working on his "honey do" list). Eric was an open-minded and kind-hearted person who believed in equality and inclusivity for everyone and was not shy in expressing his beliefs. He would often stick up for folks he didn't know, always stepping in to help when he saw someone in need. He was incredibly supportive of his wife and daughters in their ambitions and dreams, making sure they knew they could accomplish anything they set their minds to. Upon his passing, he donated tissue in the hopes of helping others.

Eric is survived by his mother, Marcia Rellinger, stepfather Michael Rellinger, wife, Donna M. Grill, daughters, Maria and Jacqueline Gwinn, son, Tristan Swartz and his family, and his dog, Joy. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ward Pavilion at Wildwood Park, 4830 W. Central Ave., Toledo, Ohio on Thursday, April 2, 2026 from 4PM to 7PM. Remarks and prayers at 5PM. All are welcome to come and encouraged to wear their favorite cruise or vacation attire.

While flowers are appreciated, donations are preferred and encouraged to the American Civil Liberties Union, The American Heart Association, or the Toledo Humane Society in his name.
