Eric Hammer

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Eric Hammer on January 15, 2026. Born on October 12, 1997, in Waxahachie, Texas, Eric's life was a testament of kindness, loyalty, and dedication. He embodied an adventurous spirit, always ready to embrace the unknown. He expressed his love for nature through hunting and fishing, often with his family. Eric was a man of his word and swift to action. He was quick witted and always ready to make you smile. Eric was a pillar of strength to his loved ones, and the silence of his absence will always be felt. We hold the dear memories of him close to our hearts.

Eric's thoughtfulness was evident in his professional life as well. He studied to become a Millwright in the steel manufacturing industry. He worked hard to provide for his family. He was willing to do anything for his children. He was a source of strength for his friends and family. Including those who carry on after him. His parents Matthew and Joannie Hammer, his brother and his wife, Brian and Jasmine Hammer, and most importantly his children, Jaxon and Brooklynn Hammer. Along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as all those who preceded him in death. Eric's love for his family guided his actions in life.

His family will receive friends for visitation and the reading of the Rosary on Wednesday, 21 Jan 2026 at 6:00pm at the Midlothian Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, 22 Jan 2026 at 9:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waxahachie, Texas.

As we mourn Eric's untimely departure, we also celebrate his life, which was filled with love and dedication. We encourage you to share your memories of Eric with friends and family. In these shared stories, Eric's spirit will continue to live on, reminding us of his love.
