Eric Maddox Obituary
Eric Paxton Maddox was born on August 28, 1958, to Dorothy Maddox and passed away on January 13, 2025. A passionate music lover, Eric especially enjoyed the sounds of Prince and R&B Funk. He was known for his great sense of humor, always ready to laugh and bring joy to those around him. His laughter could be heard above all. Richard Pryor was his all-time favorite comedian. Eric was kind-hearted, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. A devoted fan of Star Trek, he had a keen interest in researching topics that mattered to him.
Eric was preceded in death by his nephew, Louis Marquin Tucker, and his great-niece, Tyra Shundrea Strong.
Eric is survived by his daughters, Erica Maddox of Dallas and Chantell Maddox (Alfredo Torres) of Dallas. Siblings: Doris Lewis of Los Angeles, CA; Sharlette Reid (Tyrone Sr.) of Las Vegas, NV; Robert Watters of Fort Worth, TX; Jeffrey Watters of Fort Worth, TX; and Dana Watters of Fort Worth, TX. Eric is remembered by 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 8 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, 1 great-great niece, and 2 great-great nephews.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at Alpine Funeral Home, located at 2300 N. Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76111.
