Eric Allen Miles

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Eric Allen Miles, who left us on November 22, 2025, at the age of 51. Eric was more than a son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend - he was a gentle soul whose kindness, laughter, and unwavering love brightened the lives of everyone around him.

Born on December 3, 1973, in Columbia, South Carolina, Eric was the cherished child of Bruce "Bunny" Allen Miles, Helen "Chris" Zeigler, and stepfather John "Larry" Zeigler. He grew up in Blackstock, SC, where he attended Fairfield Central High School before proudly serving in the United States Army.

Eric's greatest joy was his family. He was the kind of brother and uncle who never stopped cheering for his loved ones, and he devoted himself to caring for his parents and those closest to him. He leaves behind his mother Helen "Chris" Zeigler, stepfather Larry Zeigler, sisters Mandy (Marc) Shirey and Jan Miles, stepsisters Angie (Adam) Jackson and DeeDee (Kenny) Kinsey, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him. He now rests with his father, Bruce "Bunny" Miles, who preceded him in death.

Eric found peace in the simple things - fishing by the water, tending to a garden, working in the yard, and playing video games. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and never missed a chance to be part of a family gathering. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought joy, and his love brought strength.

A service celebrating the life of Eric will be held on Saturday, November 29, at Blackstock First Baptist Church, 907 Durham Rd, Blackstock, SC 29014. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m.

Eric will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the countless hearts he touched. His legacy of compassion, loyalty, and love will never fade.
