Beall Funeral HomeEric Andrew Moog, age 59, died suddenly from complications related to Chronic Pulmonary Disease on December 26, 2025 in his home. Eric is survived by his wife, Elaine (Aleshire) of Bowie, Maryland, his Brother Alex Moog and Nephew Alex Moog Jr. of California and his Nephew Levi Dame and Niece Danielle Brooks of Florida.Eric was born on January 16, 1966 in New Jersey to parents Lilliane Danesereau and Charles E Moog. His older brother Daniel Moog passed in 2018.He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1993-1999 as an Aviation Electronics Technician 2nd Class in Patrol Squadron Nine, NAS Barbers Point, HI.
He met Elaine while deployed with VP-9 in Diego Garcia BIOT. They started dating and later married in Las Vegas, NV on August 16, 2006.He then served 26 years (collectively) as a Data Analyst for Sentel, ITT, Excelis, Harris, AECOM and Expression. He graduated from Anne Arundel Community College with an Associates of Applied Science EET 2002 Cum Laude. Eric was a dedicated husband who enjoyed golfing, writing, painting, gaming, golfing, running, obstacle course racing, going to Science Fiction Conventions, camping and traveling to National Parks around the United States.
He was a big sports fan and enjoyed going to football and baseball games. He also was a community supporter volunteering for Christmas in April (PG) and the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival.Also known as: Chainsawblades, Muddydog, Hoagie, Mulder, Rock Band Lead Guitarist, National Parks Passport Holder, Conventioneer - Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica, Horror film fan, Dreamer. Music: Jazz, Blues, Progressive, Alternative & more. A funeral is scheduled for Feb. 13, 2026 at 2:30pm at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. Participants need to arrive between 2-2:15pm. Celebration of Life directly following the ceremony at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery will be at Lures Bar and Grille 1397 Generals Hwy, Crownsville, MD 21032 until 5:30pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eric's life. In lieu of flowers (plant a tree).
