Eric Nelson Obituary
Eric was born on May 12, 1967, to Richard "Rick" Nelson and Delia Soto Nelson in El Paso, Texas. Eric graduated from Texas Tech University and was a lifelong Red Raider fan. He spent many years in Lubbock raising his children before moving to the Dallas/Fort Worth area in 2017.
Eric was a successful sales professional, working for Merck and Novartis during his career. He never met a stranger and had a way of making friends that was truly magical. He was loved by so many, and his passing leaves a hole in our hearts.
Eric is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Rinks; parents, Rick and Delia Nelson; daughters, Rachel and Megan Nelson; stepchildren, Reese and Rhett Rinks; his brother, Brian Nelson, and his wife, Tiffany Nelson; and their children, Chase, Blake and Ian Nelson. Eric also leaves behind hundreds of family members and friends who will miss him forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at HG Sply Co. & Leela's Wine Bar, 2980 State Highway 114, Trophy Club, Texas 76262. The celebration is come and go during that time, and all family and friends are welcome to attend. We ask that you wear Eric's favorite color, red, in his honor.

Much Love and Peace to the Nelson family!
Eric and I worked together at Merck for several years, and he always had a kind, big heart. It´s sad to read of his passing so young, but I also know he had a heart for Jesus. He´s at Peace.

Since middle school, Eric´s been a true friend to me. I consider him a brother. A sincere friend to everyone he knew. His kindness was always a guarantee. He was a tender heart with a giant smile. If you knew him...you loved him. I´ll forever miss you Eric. RIP. My deepest condolences and prayers to his family and friends. May our hearts be healed by our memories of him.
