Eric Szabo Obituary
Born on February 8,1956 in Amsterdam NY, he was the son of late William Szabo and Doris O'Brian Szabo.
Eric grew up on his family's homestead on Court St. in Fonda, NY a place that held a special place in his heart. He was a 1974 graduate of Fonda Fultonville central school. Eric was an avid guitar player he learned on his own at a very young age. He enjoyed going to concerts with his daughter Hollis and working on his vehicles with his friend's.
Eric is survived by his children Eric Szabo, Hollis Szabo and Shannon Szabo his brothers Christopher Szabo (Mary) Joel Szabo, Daniel Szabo(Anne), and sister Stacia Farrell. Grandchildren Nolan Hojohn, Blake Szabo, Landen Hojohn, Broderick Dawson ( aka His big guy), Khaleesi Dawson and Lucas Szabo. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Eric was predeceased by brothers Gregory M. Szabo(his sidekick and best friend) Elwood Szabo, John Szabo, Stephen Szabo; sister Wilma (Szabo) Miller.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
Interment will be at Broadalbin Cemetery in thr spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown, NY.
