I feel sincerely blessed to have had Uncle Eric in my life. As a little girl, I found him fascinating-from his delightfully odd sense of humor to his eccentric sense of style. I admired how amazing he was with animals; I can´t even count how many of our family pets he cared for over the years.
As I grew older, my admiration grew, too. I respected his intelligence and his deep commitment to his faith and community. I loved his adventurous spirit and his knack for telling the best stories I´ve ever heard.
Above all, it is Uncle Eric´s devotion to his family that I will carry with me the most. Uncle Eric was truly special, and he will forever be loved and missed.

I am saddened to learn of Dr. Winchester´s passing. While living in Mandarin, I had the fortunate opportunity to get to know Dr. Eric and his medical staff. In the early years, Dr. Eric Winchester did not stand on formalities, he quickly responded with his broad veterinarian expertise to give aid to a pet suffering or offer encouragement to a worried pet owner.
I recall many times he helped us when my husband brought in a dog who had been left after being hit, Dr. Eric rushed Jose into an oxygen tent and saved his life. Another example of his kindness, happened when I brought in a large turtle that had been hit by a car. Later, Dr. Eric had responded by saying, "I put Stucco on his shell and he know lives by the back wood pond".
Dr. Eric will be fondly remembered as a Veterinarian from a cherished, by gone era that we shall never see again. A time when a Doctor possessed a true compassion and love for God´s creatures both great and small.
Go rest high on the mountain, your work is done, your race is won.
With great sympathy for your loss.

So sorry to hear this. My family started going to Dr. Winchester when he opened back in the 70's. He was a wonderful vetrinarian and a really good guy.
