Erica Jean Riordan (Ricki), age 46, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025. Although her death was sudden and unexpected, Erica’s final act was one of love and generosity. As a registered organ donor, she was able to give the ultimate gift - donating her organs to help save and improve the lives of others. Even in her passing, she continued to care for others, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, selflessness, and love.
Erica was born on August 6, 1979, to Darrell Riordan and Sylvia (Robertson) Snapp. She was known for her passion for cooking along with her love for animals, especially with her dog Lulu. Erica will always be remembered as the life of the party. She loved family gatherings and found her greatest joy in making memories with those she loved most. She will also be remembered for her vibrant personality, her deep love for her family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Erica had a way of making people feel seen and cared for, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.
Left to honor her love and memory are her boyfriend Danny, her children Austin, Hunter, Dallas, her grandchildren Kalvin and Ryker, her grandmother iola, her mother Sylvia, her stepmother Shane, her siblings; Jason, Crystal (husband Mark), Chaz, Lindsay (husband Jason), Brittni, Sara, Taylor, and Mikala (husband Daniel), along with 11 nieces and 10 nephews and many other close family and friends.
Erica is preceded in death by her father Darrell Riordan, her stepfathers Andy Hansen and Jeff Snapp, along with her grandparents Charles and Shirley Robertson, and Donald Riordan.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at Indiana Funeral Care, 2433 East Main Street Greenwood, IN 46143, with service beginning at 1 pm. Erica will then be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood, IN.
Although her time was cut far too short, Erica’s love and warmth will remain with us forever. Though she is gone, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the hearts she filled with joy.
