A TIME TO LIVE: Erica Michelle Sims Wright was born on Wednesday, July 15, 1970, in Augusta (Richmond County), GA to Lillie Mae Sims Curry and Michael Pearson. She was reared by her mother and stepfather, Eddie Curry.
A TIME TO DIE: Erica entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at the Piedmont-Augusta hospital (formerly known as University Hospital) surrounded with her loved ones at her side.
A TIME TO ENFOLD: At an early age, Erica accepted Jesus The Christ as her Lord and Savior. Erica joined the House of God Church of God In Christ in 1997. She served faithfully as a Choir Member, Usher, Pastor's Aide Member, Hospitality Worker, and a smiling Greeter. Erica was known as the "candy lady" by the youth in the church and she was loved by all. Erica attended Thomson High School where she graduated in 1988 as a proud "Thomson Bulldog." She had a passion for helping others and attended nursing school while working as a Cosmetologist.
A TIME TO MUSTER: God had other plans for her, as she began working in the service industry until her health declined. Erica was a devoted wife and mother until she gained her wings. She was a loving family member, church member, and friend.
TIME TO LOVE: On Friday, March 8, 1991, Erica was united in holy matrimony to Eddie Wright and to this union a son was born, Travanta Wright.
A TIME TO LOSE: She was preceded in death by many loved ones who went Home before her.
A TIME TO KEEP: She leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted son, Travanta Wright of Atlanta, GA; a precious grandson, Travanta Wright, Jr.; a loving mother and step-father, Lillie Mae (Eddie) Curry of Thomson, GA; one brother, Eric Sims of Thomson, GA; three sisters, Shaketa Curry; Gabreil (Broderick) Climons, both of Thomson, GA, and Mickel Pearson of Augusta, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.
