Erik Pietz Obituary
Born on May 26, 1973, Erik was known for his big heart, intelligence, and generous spirit, often placing the needs of others before his own.
Erik grew up attending Foothill Intermediate School and graduated from Marysville High School in 1991. He furthered his education at Rick's College and Yuba College, where he also showcased his skills on the basketball court.
He then received his BS in accounting from the University of Phoenix. Professionally, Erik was a skilled tree climber and bookkeeper.
Erik was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Erik was also an avid Raider's fan. He had a profound love for sports, with basketball and golf being his favorites to participate in. Family was central to Erik's life.
He leaves behind his parents, David and Susan Pietz; brother, Ian Pietz; sister-in-law, Kathryn; sister, Erin Bates; and brother-in-law, Charly. Erik was a proud uncle to Ivan, Ammon, Grace, Bradford, Abigail, Shelby, Austyn, and Bayley.
His role as an uncle was one he cherished deeply, often seen supporting his nieces and nephews at various sporting events. A true testament to his loving and supportive nature. He was also an Eagle Scout.
Erik's memorial service will be Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10 AM at The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 11646 Hill Road, Loma Rica, CA.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in honor of Erik.
Erik's legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Erik and I shared the same Birthday. When I met him in High school and we learned we shared May 26th together, that´s when I knew I would NEVER have a lonely bday...EVER. He always went out of his way to be sure to get a birthday message to me. I miss him. It´s going to be hard this bday. Erik....i know you can hear me right now...I promise you will not miss any bdays down here. Your memory will be alive with me FOREVER! I love you!
