Erik J. Stanton

Erik J. Stanton, 29, of Bristol, loving father, son, brother, uncle and fiancé, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2026, at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington, after a valiant and courageous 2-year battle with colon cancer. Erik was born in Waterbury on March 11, 1996, and was the son of Frank and Sharon (Sofia) Stanton of Bristol. He attended Bristol Schools and graduated from E.C Goodwin Technical School Class of 2014. Prior to his illness, Erik was a supervisor for Call The Bee air conditioning contractors in Farmington for over 5 years. Erik had a passion for the outdoors. He loved mountain biking, riding quads and bikes. He also loved golfing, building Lego kits and listening to Alternative music. However, spending time with his family, especially with his boys, that meant the world to him. Besides his parents, Erik is survived by his three sons, Wyatt, Grant and Rhett, his fiancé Kaitlyn Levesque, his two brothers, Kevin Barbosa and his wife Raquel of Thomaston and Jason Stanton and his wife Paige of Bristol. He is also survived by his nieces, Gianna, Sofia and Emma and his feline furry companion Lillie, his former wife, Brooke Stanton of Bristol, the mother of Wyatt , Emersyn, and Grant, and by a host of friends, family and coworkers. Erik was greeted in heaven by his little Angel, his daughter Emersyn, who passed away in 2021. Calling hours for Erik will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, from 4-7 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010. Burial will be held privately.
