In Loving Memory of Erika Jaskela
On October 20, 2025, the world lost a one-of-a-kind soul. Erika Jaskela, 61, of Spring Lake Park, MN, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 9, 1964, in Waterbury, CT, to Christel and Ludwig Schneider, Erika lived her life with joy, determination, and an open heart. Preceded in death by her father, Ludwig; brother, Rich Schneider
Erika married her husband and best friend, David, and together they raised two daughters, Meagan and Melissa, who were the center of her world. She is also survived by her siblings-Erich, Fritz, and Christopher-as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who adored her.
For 33 years, Erika poured her creativity, compassion, and strength into her daycare business. She cared for each child as her own, becoming a beloved figure to countless families. Her laughter filled rooms, her strong spirit inspired those around her, and her caring nature made everyone feel welcome and loved.
Erika loved going "up north" to Crosslake, where she found peace on the lake surrounded by family. Whether she was boating, laughing around the fire, or simply enjoying nature, those moments were her happiest. Her pets were constant companions and a source of joy in her daily life.
Erika will be remembered as someone who loved deeply, laughed often, and lived with unwavering determination. Her creativity touched everything she did, and her influence lives on in the many lives she shaped.
Memorial Gathering 4-7pm with 6pm Time of Sharing - Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park. (763-560-3100)
Her love, laughter, and strength will live forever in our hearts.
