Laurence "Larry" David died of natural causes on October 2, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, on November 5, 1944, to Irving and Olga Smith. Larry began studying piano at age 7. He excelled musically as he continued his education at Stuyvesant High School and Queens College in New York. In 1967, he earned a Master of Music degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. While there, he had the honor of accompanying the renowned violinist, Josef Gingold. Larry's piano playing and recordings inspired thousands of people. Through his performances, he connected spiritually with God, along with friends, family, and students. Larry served as a faculty member at the Wisconsin College Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee, at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA, and at MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. Larry also served as the keyboardist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra from 1968-1970. Larry is survived by his son, Michael (Katie) David; granddaughter, Charli David; and niece, Julie Mermelstein. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Leslie Mage.
