James Charles Vincent Cuggino, age 91, went home to his Lord and Savior on the twenty-first day of October 2025. He was born on April 5, 1934, in Queens, NY, the son of the late Vincent Cuggino and Rosalie Crescimanno.
Jim attended Queens College before enlisting in the U.S. Army, where he served his country honorably until 1956. On August 21, 1965, he married the love of his life, Carol Ann Monroe, and together they shared a beautiful journey built on trust, devotion, laughter, and deep faith. Jim had a warmth, a quick wit and a true gift for connecting with others. He was a devout Catholic and lifelong man of faith, serving as a communicant of both St. Clement's Church in Saratoga Springs and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Schroon Lake, where he and his family spent their cherished summers.
Proud of his Italian heritage, Jim embodied the joy, generosity, and spirit of family that came with it. He was deeply engaged in his community and church offering "Generations of Faith" workshops through his founded Goodwill Network - a grassroots organization devoted to bridging generations and inspiring a vision of the Church as a living, evolving community of faith. A lifelong Yankees fan, Jim rarely missed a game and delighted in friendly baseball debates. Music was also an essential part of his life - he often sang a tune as he greeted friends and family, sharing joy through melody. Above all, Jim's greatest treasure was his family. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and loved hearing about their lives, always offering encouragement, humor, and wisdom. His faith, kindness, and love will remain an enduring gift to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Carol Ann Monroe Cuggino; his loving daughters, Lauren Monroe Allen (Richard) and Valerie Joy Wylie (Mark), his cherished granddaughter, Josefine; and his sisters, Catherine Quaranta and Geraldine Indart.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, the twenty-fourth day of October 2025 at 11:00am at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY.
Burial Service will be in Severance Cemetery, Severance, NY.
Additional Celebrations of Life will be announced in the near future.
Memorial donations may be made in Jim's name to Raven Drum Foundation, 904 Manhattan Avenue, Suite 9, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or online at https://ravendrumfoundation.org/. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of James, please visit our floral store.

October 22, 2025

Remembering our many and long philosophical and theosophical discussions and meetings at McDonald's for what was in house a "Hungarian Goulash Club," which had goulash only at our first meeting.
We both sang and laughed much together dear friend.
