Erin Johri, 36, of Waynesville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, October 24, 2025. Born on May 21, 1989, Erin was the beloved daughter of Vinit “TJ” Johri and the late Susan Johri. She was a cherished sister to Melissa (aka Sister), Stephanie, Jen, Chris, and Mark, and sister-in-law to James. Erin was also the proud aunt to several beloved fur-babies — Griff, Colt, Loke, Ahri, and Annabelle — who brought her endless joy.
Erin will be lovingly remembered by her devoted caretaker and friend, Karissa Finley, as well as close family friends Shirley Topper, Donna Machen, and the late Marc Lehmann.
Erin was known for her mischievous sense of humor and her ability to bring laughter to any room. She gave everyone their own funny nickname, and somehow each one stuck (whether you liked it or not!)
She loved animals, especially her late dog Mandi, and shared a bond of love, fun, friendship, and laughter with her dad, TJ, whom she adored so much that everyone knew—without her saying a word—that he was her person.
Erin’s light, laughter, and love will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
