Erin P. Pommerencke

Erin Pommerencke (née O'Connell), age 76, of Teaneck, formerly of West Haven, CT, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pommerencke. Erin was a beloved mother to Stacy Fryer and her husband Damian, Christian Pommerencke and Shannon Pommerencke. Loving grandmother to Ava Fryer. She was sister to the late John J. O'Connell, who is survived by his wife Darlene. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Erin built a long and respected career as an accountant with Verizon, where she worked for many years before retiring in 2003. A lifelong reader, she was rarely seen without a book in hand, especially drawn to mysteries and crime novels. She loved horses, being outdoors, planning adventures and traveling with her family. Erin came close to achieving her dream of visiting all 50 states but enjoyed driving across the country with her granddaughter the most.

Those who knew Erin will remember her immense kindness, her thirst for life, and her gift for making every moment meaningful. Her warmth, generosity and unwavering devotion to her family enriched the lives of all around her and will be held in loving memory.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, December 1st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Volk Leber Funeral Home. 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 2 at 11 AM at St. Anastasia RCC in Teaneck.
