ERIN SNYDER Obituary
Erin graduated from JW North High School in 1976, then went on to earn a BA in history and complete the teacher credential program at UC Riverside. She worked for many years as a teacher and in parks and recreation before landing her dream job at Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District. In the early 90s, Erin found her voice as a community activist, working closely with many local organizations towards a stronger community and healthier environment.
Erin is survived by her daughter, Wendy Van Savage; son, Cody Snyder; son-in-law, Jeffrey Van Savage; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren; sisters, Teri, Kim, and Paige, and their spouses and children. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Snyder, and her parents, Bill and Barbara Polcene, and stepfather, Arnold Owens.
A celebration of life is planned for September 27, 4 p.m., at RCRCD, 4500 Glenwood Dr. in Riverside.
