Sally Pearse

SALLY PEARSE 77, passed away on May 30, 2024. Sally was born in Deming, New Mexico on December 21, 1946 to John and Antonia Castaña. As a young girl she moved to Riverside with her parents and 2 sisters. Sally was always so proud that she was in the first graduating class of John W. North High School. She graduated in 1966. She was even prouder that both her daughters graduated from there as well. Sally worked for the County of Riverside for 28 years. She retired in 2003. After retiring she was able to really enjoy her grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren. They all were her pride and joy. Sally also enjoyed making trips to New Mexico & Las Vegas. She enjoyed playing bingo. She was always one number away from winning the big bucks! She also enjoyed sewing blankets. Sally enjoyed making them for the people she loved. Besides our beautiful memories of her, these blankets will now be our greatest treasures. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister MaryLou Luna. Sally is survived by her 2 daughters, Cynthia (David) Villela of Perris and Cheryl Wills of Riverside. As well as her grandchildren, Gené Villela-Wiemer, Karinne Villela-Gutierrez, Kara Villela, Jared Villela, Evan Villela and Jake Wills. Her great-grandchildren were her joy, Savannah, Landon, Zane and Baby G (unborn). She is also survived by her sister Juanita Grindstaff of Las Vegas, NV. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Preston and Simons Mortuary at 3358 Mission Inn Ave. Riverside, CA at 5:00 with rosary at 6:30. A catholic mass will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at St. Catherine's of Alexandria 3680 Arlington Ave Riverside at 10:00am. Burial will immediately follow at Olivewood Memorial Park 3300 Central Ave. Riverside, CA.
