Erin Elisabeth Swinerton, 47 years old, from Westerville, Ohio, left this Earth on 11/18/2024 as a result of a year long battle with various side effects of pneumonia and Alzheimers.
Erin was born with Downs Syndrome and no vision on June 7, 1977 to John(Father) and MaryLee(Mother) by whom she is survived. She is also survived by a sister, Denise and a brother, Christopher, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents, Paternal(Donald, Sr. and Bernice Swinerton) and Maternal(Arthur, Sr. and Carol Shantz), as well as, an Uncle(Donald, Jr.).
She graduated from Paul B. Stephen's School for Exceptional Students in Clearwater, Florida in 2001. She also attended many Adult Day Training Programs with the most meaningful being The Giving Tree(she was their first student) owned and operated by Kelly Sullivan and located in Clearwater, Florida, and for the last 8 years Dreamshine in Sunbury, Ohio, operated by Danielle and Zelese.
Erin loved getting her hair and nails done, going bowling, to the movies, and shopping(which she called "bumming"). She loved watching Rocky and Scooby Doo and playing with her "poppers."
Erin was a very happy person who was always smiling and laughing. She loved her houseful of pets that included 4 dogs(Rocky, Katie, JayJay and Liam) and 2 cats(Bandit and Sadie). She loved Birthday Cakes and Christmas Trees. Even though she was 47 years old, she got excited every year for Santa Claus to come. She was a Ray of light and a Pure joy and will be missed everyday.
