Charles Vagt Obituary
Chuck E. Vagt (Shorty) age 68 died Sunday August 10, 2025 at his home. He was the owner of Vagt Construction. He graduated from Northland High School in 1974 and was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in business. Chuck was involved with several memberships including being the president of the Corvette Club and a member of Worthington Moose Lodge, BACA and USBC.
Chuck loved his dogs, Cloe and Bella and loved donating money and food for the needy as he helped with many charities. He was a central Ohio USBC hall of famer of lanes elected in 2019 as he was a 300 bowler with rings to prove it. Chuck loved riding his Harley and cheering on the Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He was a huge NASCAR fan.
He is preceded in death by Carl E. and Shirley A. Vagt. Chuck went out of his way to look after his surviving brother Thomas R. Vagt (Tommy) as well as his former wife Lauren Knox, cousins and dear friends.
Family will receive friends at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes Clintonville Chapel, 4341 North High Street Columbus, Ohio 43214 on September 4th, 2025 from 4-6pm. There will be a celebrating of Chuck's life after the service at Worthington Moose Lodge 1970 Shrock Road Columbus, Ohio 43229.
