Erin Shannon Yazzie, 28 of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on September 5, 2025 in Phoenix. She was born on May 18, 1997 in Phoenix, Arizona to Nelson Yazzie and Jolene Mason.
Erin grew up surrounded by her five siblings, sharing countless memories filled with love and laughter. She had a gift for creativity and enjoyed drawing, as well as the peace she found in walking outdoors. Her adventurous spirit shone brightly in everything she did.
Those who knew Erin will forever remember her radiant smile, her playful goofiness, her kind and helpful nature and the joys she brought to others. She touched the lives of family and friends in unforgettable ways.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Derrick M. Yazzie; her grandmother, Isabelle T. Mason, her grandfather, Stanley Mason; her uncle, Dion Mason and Godfather, Ryan Chavez.
Erin's wake will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at 920 S. Chainsaw St., Whiteriver, AZ. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Fort Apache LDS Branch Chapel in Whiteriver. She will be laid to rest in the Whiteriver Cemetery.
Erin's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.
