Erma Marie Boyd passed peacefully at home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. EDT at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, located at 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. EDT at Parkhill Cemetery, located at 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia.
Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Christopher Lee Boyd.
Marie is the youngest of six siblings, one sister and four brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and “Nana” aka “Nan.” She is survived by her children Lisa M. Davis and her husband, Rex A. Davis of Birmingham, AL, and son, Lee C. Boyd and his wife, Cynthia L. Boyd of Ellerslie, GA. Marie is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Rebecca A. Kline and her husband, Matthew Kline, Jacob C. Boyd, Eva B. Davis, and Sarah C. Sheppard, and 2 great-grandchildren, Ella Spraggins and Oliver Kline.
Marie retired from JCPenney after 30+ years of dedicated service. Marie loved spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by everyone who knew her! Marie was a member of The Church of Columbus and deeply loved her church family. The family wishes to thank the amazing staff of Georgia Hospice for their dedicated care and her devoted caregivers Laurie, Felicia and Nikki for their outstanding care of our mom for the past 18 months.
