Ernest Cleveland Dasher Jr.

1946 - 2025

Cleve was born on July 26, 1943, in Savannah, to the late Ernest C. Dasher, Sr. and Vera K. Dasher. He is survived by his on Patrick Scott Dasher and wife Debi, of Jefferson, GA, daughter Shari Dasher of Savannah, GA, and brother Donald E. Dasher and his wife Chris of Hilton Head, SC. He was predeceased by his wife Betty B. Dasher and a son, Ernest C. Dasher, III.

Cleve passed away after a long battle with cancer on November 11, 2025, at his home in Savannah.

He graduated from Savannah High School in 1961 and served in the U.S. Coast Guard for nine years. He spent most of his career in the electrical supply field, where he thrived in making many friends of his co-workers and customers alike. He was a socially oriented person.

He was proud of his Mr. Rajah days, his love of his high school and Victory Height's friends, Omicron Society, coaching his son in his athletic endeavors, motorcycle racing, NASCAR, bowling league days, golfing and many other notorious adventures in the Ogeechee Raft Races. He was also a die-hard GA Bulldawgs fan.

A special thanks is extended to his girlfriend Danis Sloan who gave him a new purpose in life. His phenomenal childhood and high school friends, who through his life remained in constant contact and part of his life, helping him when needed. Also, his caregivers, Ruthie, Ciara, Pat, Jarvis, and Cheryl, and have been a godsend in his time of need. The family greatly appreciates the attention and care given by Hospice Savannah. His three beloved cats, Baby, Mama, and Jellybean will surely be lost without the abundant love he bestowed upon them.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2025, at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.

The Memorial Service to honor his life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2025 at Fox & Weeks, Hodgson Chapel.
