Ernest “Ernie” Dennhardt Jr., age 69, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on August 27, 2025, in Globe, AZ. after a difficult battle with cancer.
Ernie was born on June 4, 1956 to Ernest and Doris Dennhardt Sr. in Japan while his father was serving in the Army. He is survived by his father, Ernest Dennhardt Sr., five children, whom he was unendingly proud of, Eddie Darnell, Natasha Darnell, Justin Dennhardt, Alexis Dennhardt, and Adrian Dennhardt, fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Ernie was predeceased by his mother, Doris, and his first wife, Sandra Gail Dennhardt.
Ernie's life was a testament to his devotion to his family, as he poured his heart and soul into providing for them, always putting their needs before his own. Ernie retired after 29 years of service at Empire Southwest, where he met and made many friends whom he also thought of as family. He found joy in riding his motorcycles, fishing for catfish, and grilling for his family get-togethers. Ernie was also a passionate mechanic who could be found in his workshop during his time off. His favorite place to travel was Hawaii.
