A memorial service for Ernest "Ernie" Nelson Platt, 81, of Burleson will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Crowley Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 3200 FM 1187, Crowley, TX 76036 with Pastor Adam Keating officiating. Please check back for time.
Ernest "Ernie" Nelson Platt, born on September 11, 1944, in Lodi, California, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Ernie leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Violet Platt, and his father, Ernest Forbes. He also mourned the loss of Thelma Hoehn Kelley, the mother of his children, whose memory he held dear.
Ernie is survived by his beloved wife, Gwen Platt; son, Brian Platt and wife Teresa; Kevin Platt, and wife Ashley; daughter Christina Davis and husband James; grandchildren: Hadley Platt, Owen Platt, Jonathan Davis, Isaac Davis, Nathaniel Davis, and Carissa Davis; and grand dog, Rose Platt.
Ernie's warm spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of many. His presence will be profoundly missed, but he will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
