Ernest Graff Jr. was born at home on March 22, 1948, to the late Ernest Graff Sr and Mrytle Overstreet Graff.
He was a surprise born 12 years after his siblings. He was adored and spoiled by all. He graduated from Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant. He went on to attend Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee.
Junior was born with a fishing pole in his hand; it only took him a few minutes to find and hook a keeper. He would spend hours in the basement making his own jigs, flies, and sinkers; he also raised his own worms in a bed outside. People would come from miles around to purchase his tackle. He was thrilled when one of his nieces or nephews wanted to go fishing with him. He would talk for hours on the joys of fishing.
He was retired from Kwik Sak where he was employed for 30+ years. Later in life when he wasn't fishing, he would sit in front of his TV watching movies from his 1000s of DVDs.
Junior is preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother Bill (Helen) Graff; his sisters; Martha Graff (Doyal) Vaughan, Norma Rea Graff (Tom) Jones, and his nephew Pride Graff.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Vicky V. Sadler, John E. Vaughan, Charles Graff, Bill Graff, Karen Jones England, Tommy Jones, Jimmy Jones, Mary Martha Graff Hill, and several great-nieces and nephews.
A service for Junior will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home at Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to the start of the service at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery in Mt.
