Ernest Arthur Hall, Jr. was born on April 2, 1949, to the parents of Ernest Arthur Hall, Sr., "Big Hall", and Katherine Maserine McDaniel in Kansas City, Kansas, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Ernest graduated from Sumner High School in 1967. He married his high school sweetheart Trudie Hall, to this union two children were born. He went on to serve in the United States Army in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. Ernest owned a printing, sales and repair business, and worked as a printer and machinist. He was an avid and prolific photographer, motorcycle racer/rider and loved restoring cars. He was a member of Vultures MCC (KCK) & East Bay Stardust Riders (Oakland CA).

Ernest lived in California, Las Vegas, and Florida before returning to Kansas City. Ernest was a man of faith and was a member of Holy Light Missionary Baptist Church in KCMO.

Ernest took his last breath surrounded by family and loved ones at the University of Kansas Health System on February 5,2026.

Ernest was preceded in death by his father Ernest Hall, Sr., mother Katherine Dailey, and brother Michael Norwood.

He lives to cherish his memory, his life partner Kathi Timberlake, daughter Kristin Hall, son Ernest Arthur Hall, III, daughter-in-law Turri Hall, grandchildren Toyleigha. Clemmons, Regina Tucker, Keiyona Clardy, Tayler Wash, and Xavier Hall, several great grandchildren, a host other relative, extended family, and many loved ones.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Leavenworth National Cemetery . Visitation: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Lawrence A. Jones Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapels. Condolences may be shared on our website lawrenceajones.com.
