Ernest C. Huckeba, age 71 of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Oak Grove Manor.
He was born on October 18, 1953, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to the late Ernest Carl and Shirley (Muncey) Fitzke, and he married the love of his life, Paula (Fortney), on October 9, 2003. Ernest proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching old westerns, Nascar, and the Cleveland Browns, and he loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a gentle man, one of the kindest souls you would ever meet, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Anderson and William Fitzke; his siblings, Sandy, Tammy, John, Alicia, Lonnie, Bill, and Tracy; his grandchildren, Kayla Perez, Jordan Roberts, Allen Roberts, Jaxson Anderson, Amanda Rodrigues, Jessica Huckeba, and Justin Huckeba; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Huckeba; and his parents, Ernest Carl and Shirley (Muncey) Fitzke.
Per Ernest's wishes, no formal services will be observed.
Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield, is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
