Mr. Ernest "Ernie" Majors, age 69, of Chatsworth, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

For more than 25 years, Ernie devoted his time and heart to officiating youth softball, basketball, and volleyball.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles "Bob" Majors; mother, Dorse Pewitt; brother, Donnie Majors; sisters, Wilma Reeves and Ann Jernigan; and his father-in-law, Larry Ray Tallent.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lillie Majors of Chatsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Samantha Lawrence of LaFayette, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Freddy Evett of Tunnel Hill, GA, and Crystal and Scott Franks of Tunnel Hill, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Christina Majors; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Posey, and Della and Joe Jernigan; grandchildren, Hannah Stone, Haley and David Bunch, Kala and Will Chesser, Garrett Franks, and Allyson Franks; great-grandchildren, Leevi Goswick, Maelynn Carter, Ryker Neighbors, Walker Bunch, and Lainey Bunch; mother-in-law, Betsy Lee Tallent; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Dewayne and Marry Tallent, Clarence Richard and Stephanie Tallent, and Rebecca "Becky" and Robert Lewis; extended family also survives.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to aid with final expenses.

Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth has been entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Ernest "Ernie" Majors.
