Joan was a member of Erwin Hill Church of God. She loved crafting, baking, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Inez Parrish; sisters, Virginia Samples and Nadine Dill; brothers, Deaton Parrish and Charles Parrish; and her granddaughter, Savannah Belcher.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Teresa Samples of Dalton, GA and Brian Samples of Dalton, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Sean Belcher of Calhoun, GA; grandchildren and their spouses, Zachaery and Sadie Belcher, Laurel and Kenneth Griggs, Shellbie and Zac McCarthy, Jordan and Michelle Samples, Hannah Samples, Tansley Samples, and Nakiah Samples; great-grandchildren, Jade Samples, Elijah Samples, Braisley Samples, Skye Hewell, Sawyer McCarthy, Danny Griggs, Emily Griggs, Blakely Griggs, Naomi Belcher, and *expecting* Atlas Samples; special friends, Joann Peeling and Ina Martin; extended family also survives.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ms. Joan Parrish will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Bishop Sean Belcher and Bishop Zachary Belcher officiating. Interment will follow at Center Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
Peeples Funeral Home & Crematory of Chatsworth has been entrusted with the arrangements for Ms. Joan Parrish.
