Ernestine Noriega was born on July 11, 1941, in Galveston, Texas. Ernestine Noriega 84 departed this life on October 22, 2025, at The Cottages of Clear Lake.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock under the direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Noriega Sr., and son, Steve Noriega Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Tina Renee Velasco of Austin; grandchildren, Joseph Steven Alegria, and Jacquelyn Faye Gaspar of Austin; and seven great-grandchildren
Pallbearers are Joseph Alegria, Joseph Alegria-Cortez, Gilbert Gonzales, Lorenzo Gonzales, Jacob Gonzales and Troy Harvey. Honorary Pallbearers are Victor Gaspar and Dylan Hairgrove and Deigo Cortez.
