Ernesto Nunez, 63, passed away Sunday, June 23,2024. Ernesto was born in El Paso, Texas on November 4, 1960. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. Ernesto is survived by his daughters: Tiffany Anchondo and Valerie Perez, and his grandchildren Maria I Anchondo and Xavier L Perez ; mother, Carlota V Nunez; brother, Carlos Valadez ; sister, Alma Herrera. He is also survived by extended family and friends who cherish and honor his memory. Ernesto served in the United States Navy as a Navy Corpsman.Born and raised in El Paso moved to Albuquerque in 1992.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 11,2024 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907. Funeral Mass will be at 12:30 PM, Friday, July 12, 2024 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9205 North Loop Dr, El Paso, TX 79907. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave. Pallbearers will include Mando Cereceres, Frank Cereceres, Ronald Perez, Carlos Valadez, Gilbert Herrera and Hector Ayala.
