Ernie Chris Burt, age 62 passed away peacefully at home on December 3rd 2024, following a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Born September 25th, 1962 in Uravan Colorado. He was the son of Edward and Julia Burt. He graduated from Sunnyside High School in Tucson Arizona in 1981. He was a proud Army Veteran. Ernie was proudly retired, formally working as Sprinkler Fitter for 22 years with Western States Fire Protection. He enjoyed leatherwork, building custom RC cars, guns, woodworking, camping, hunting, and playing Reign of Empires.
He was a proud and loving father and grandfather who liked to keep people on their toes. He loved to tell stories about his life. You knew he liked you when he started to tease you. He and his wife Anita did all that they could to ensure they provided for their family. They spent the last few years of his life traveling and enjoying all that they could together. He was also a proud fur parent and loved his corgi’s Whiskey and Cowboy very much.
Ernie was preceded in death by his father Edward Burt. Ernie is survived by his loving wife Anita, his sons; Boone (McKaila) Burt, Alex (Imajica) Burt, and Jonathan Burt. His Mother Julia Burt. His step-sons; Nick (Tani) Stanko, and Kris (Joyce) Stanko. His grandchildren; Remi, Jayden, Rowyn, Sam, Ian, Kayson, Josh, and Ellie. And siblings David (Jeri) Burt and Teresa (Jay) Harmon.
Per Ernie's wish, no services will be held.
