Ervil Edison Trivette, age 82, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born November 28, 1942 to the late Russell and Viola Trivette. In addition to his parents, Ervil was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Trivette; grandchildren, Rachel Trivette, Stephen Trivette; sister, Betty Winebarger; brothers, Cisco Jack Trivette, Roy Trivette, and Junior Trivette.
Ervil was born in Watauga County and raised in Creston, NC. He and his wife, Mildred, married in 1962 and had 63 years together. He had several different jobs, but enjoyed farming most. Ervil faithfully attended Baptist Home Church. He fought a good fight, he kept the faith and his family will miss him dearly!
Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Mildred Trivette; son, David Trivette (Tammy); daughter-in-law, Jennifer Trivette; sister, Shirley Trivette; brothers, Clyde Trivette, Gary Trivette, Kenneth Trivette; grandchildren, Stephanie Hayes (Jeremy), Amber Testerman (Craig), Aubrey Proffitt, Mark Trivette, Brittany Watts (Anthony), Cole Trivette; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Benfield officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Trivette Cemetery on Trivette Hollow Rd. in Creston, NC. Pallbearers will be Roger Trivette, Gary Lee Trivette, Clay Trivette, Jeremy Hayes, Craig Testerman, and Ronald Mahala.
The family of Ervil Trivette has entrusted his services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
