Ervin Martin

Ervin Martin was born on May 13,1962 to Johnnie Mae Martin in Pickinsville Alabama. He was affectionately known as Scerve, Magic man and the grill master
The family later relocated to Ohio where he attended Glenoak High school;While attending High School he played basketball.
In 1980 he joined the Army and served until 1983. Upon his discharge he held several jobs including various Security assignments, working at Case Farms and the YMCA until his retirement in 2001.
Most who knew Ervin know that he loved to laugh, joke, fish, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to Columbus and New York. Ervin was right at home when he was spending time with Fred, Arnold and TeDee. If the party was not at full speed when 'D.J. Erv arrived he would crank up the tunes.
On March 19,2025, he was called to Heaven's gates. He leaves to cherish his memory: significant other, Aimee Tyson; daughter, Sade Tyson; granddaughter, Nyla Mitchell; grandson, Juelz Compton; sister, Taisha Martin; brother, Greg Martin; Uncle Willie C. Mustin. Arnold Montgomery, Justin Montgomery (TeDee) Frederick Montgomery, Aunts Lora Arnold (niece) and Janet Gordon. Nieces Damesha Martin, London Brown, two special nephews Willie James Montgomery III. Travis Lamar Montgomery Sr. Special friend Bobby Cutts Sr.
He was preceded in death by his mother Johnnie Mae Martin maternal grandmother Bertha Mustin, Aunt Gloria Mustin Montgomery, Uncle Wille James Montgomery Jr.,Uncle Robert Johnson and Aunt Theresa Shipp.
Services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, Ohio 44273) on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10:45 AM with Full Military Honors. The repast will start at 2pm.
