Essie Meetze Obituary
Essie Lee Meetze, loving widow of the Reverend Thurman W. Meetze, Sr., passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Lexington Medical Center. Born in West Columbia, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Katie Lee Frost. A life long area resident, she was an active member of Old Country Holiness Church of God. She was a loving and caring person and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving her are her daughters, Katie E. Wilson of West Columbia, Mary E. Barber and her husband Dean of Gaston, Olive L. Porter of West Columbia, and Peggy L. Wilson, and her husband Miles, of Eastover; sons, Jesse O. Meetze, and his wife Linda, of West Columbia, Albert W. Meetze, and his wife Brenda, of Lexington, Thurman W. Meetze, Jr., and his wife Betty, of Prosperity, Robert E. Meetze, and his wife Gail, of West Columbia, Skinner E. Meetze of Prosperity, Jerry E. Meetze, and his wife Linda, of Gaston, William J. Meetze, and his wife Deborah, of Columbia, and Charles E. Meetze, and his wife Sharon, of Saluda.
Mrs. Meetze was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ann Fitch, three grandsons, three brothers and two sisters.
