Ms. Essie Jones Raye of Aberdeen, N.C., peacefully departed her earthly home on July 6, 2025, at her home.
Essie was the daughter of the late Deacon Leslie Jones Sr. and Leana Jones. Essie is survived by her son, Craig Jones of Aberdeen, N.C.; daughter, Karen Raye-Thomas (Quenzell); and Granddaughter, Essica.
Siblings: Sisters: Mary Jones, Frances Gregory (Junior), Brenda Simmons, Linda Martin (Larry), and Deborah Horton; Brothers: James Jones (Elaine) and Robert Jones; a nephew and niece, Ricky Jones and Priscilla Wike, who were also reared with the siblings.
Visitation Schedule: The family will warmly receive visitors during the following times: Home of Essie Jones Raye, 311 Midway Rd., Aberdeen, N.C. 28315. Thursday, July 10th, Friday, July 11th, and Saturday July 12th, 2025.
In Loving Support: In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Deaconess Essie Jones Raye, the family invites you to consider a contribution to Full Gospel Holiness Church Missionary Department.
