Estella Lorena Waldo, 94, passed away on May 3, 2025, in Oberlin, Kansas. Estella was born on January 10, 1931, to Herman J. Wenger and Myrtle (Hanchett) Wenger on the family farm in Decatur County Kansas. Estella attended a rural school called Welch & Swede Home Grade School. Estella married Wayne Harris on August 17, 1947, and was blessed with two daughters, Kathryn Kay and Patricia Jean. Estella lived on the farm until Wayne's death in 1972, then she moved to Oberlin. She was employed at Farmers Loan & Abstract. On July 21,1973 Estella married Lee Waldo, after Lee retired they enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Texas and Arizona and visited all 48 states. Estella enjoyed sewing, gardening and flowers. She was a member of the Oberlin United Church. Estella is survived by her two daughters: Kathy (Ken) Darling of Nebraska and Patty Pollnow of Arizona; three grandson: Brent (Kyle) Conley and family, Cory (Melissa) Conley and family, Brandon ( Kyla) Pollnow and family; brother: Lawrence (Dorothy) Wenger; sister-in-law: Eunice Wenger. Estella was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Wayne Harris and Lee Waldo, brothers: Marion Wenger and his wife Helen, Clifford Wenger, and sister-in-law, Cleta Wenger. Graveside services will be held on Saturday May 10, 2025 at Oberlin Cemetery, Oberlin, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contribution may be made out to the family The condolence can be left at www.plumergobber.com
