It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ester Lima, 92, of Brooklyn NY, born in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Ester was a woman whose kindness and love illuminated the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Ester departed this world on December 3 2023, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and generosity that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of being a part of her life.
Ester was, above all else, a beacon of kindness. Her gentle and loving nature touched the hearts of everyone around her, making her a source of comfort and joy for family and friends alike. She had an uncanny ability to make others feel valued and loved, creating a welcoming space for all who crossed her path.
One of the ways Ester expressed her immense love was through the art of food. Her kitchen was a haven of delicious aromas and shared laughter, where she lovingly prepared meals that spoke volumes about the depth of her affection. Ester believed in the power of a shared meal to bring people together, and she used this belief to foster bonds that will endure long after her passing.
Ester Lima was the embodiment of pure love. Her love was not confined to words but manifested in countless acts of kindness, selflessness, and understanding. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and appreciated, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of calling her a friend, mother, abuela, or family.
Ester is survived by her three devoted sons and their wives, Ben Lima (Carmen) of Farmingdale, NJ, Angel Lima (Isabel) of Brooklyn, NY and Pedro Lima (Maria) of Orlando, FL. She leaves behind a loving legacy in the form of nine grandchildren and their partners, Yvette Krupa (Ken), Angelie LaPorta (Gaetano), Pedro Lima (Lisa), Debbie Lima, Angel Lima (Damaris), Aaron Lima (Melissa), Maria Alicea and William Alicea each of whom carries a piece of her love forward. She is predeceased by her grandson Benjamin Lima. She also leaves behind 19 great grandchildren Derick (Jessica), Samantha, Christian, Christina (Jimmy), Nikolas, Joseph, Breanna, Owen, Madeleine, Jacob, Priscilla, Anna, Isabella, Phoebe, Elijah, Aviana, Mila, Shaun and Faith.
As we mourn the loss of Ester Lima, let us also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the love she shared. May her memory continue to inspire acts of kindness, generosity, and warmth in all who were touched by her presence. In our hearts, Ester's love will forever live on.
A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. For those that cannot attend in person, the family invited you to participate via Webcast,. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 for the procession to her 1:00 PM graveside service at Fair View Cemetery, 456 New Jersey 35, Middletown. Con corazones apesadumbrados, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Ester Lima, de 92 años, de Brooklyn, Nueva York, nacida en Ceiba, Puerto Rico. Ester fue una mujer cuya bondad y amor iluminaron las vidas de todos los afortunados que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Ester partió de este mundo el 3 de diciembre de 2023, dejando atrás un legado de calidez y generosidad que será recordado para siempre por aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de ser parte de su vida.
Ester fue, sobre todo, un faro de amabilidad. Su naturaleza gentil y amorosa tocó los corazones de todos los que la rodeaban, convirtiéndola en una fuente de consuelo y alegría para familiares y amigos por igual. Tenía una capacidad asombrosa para hacer que los demás se sintieran valorados y amados, creando un espacio acogedor para todos los que cruzaron su camino.
Una de las formas en que Ester expresaba su inmenso amor era a través del arte de la comida. Su cocina era un refugio de deliciosos aromas y risas compartidas, donde preparaba con amor comidas que hablaban mucho sobre la profundidad de su afecto. Ester creía en el poder de una comida compartida para unir a las personas, y usaba esta creencia para fomentar vínculos que perdurarán mucho después de su partida.
Ester Lima fue la personificación del amor puro. Su amor no se limitaba a las palabras, sino que se manifestaba en innumerables actos de amabilidad, altruismo y comprensión. Tenía una manera de hacer que todos se sintieran vistos y apreciados, dejando una marca indeleble en los corazones de aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de llamarla amiga, madre, abuela o familia.
Ester deja a sus tres devotos hijos y sus esposas, Ben Lima (Carmen) de Farmingdale, NJ, Angel Lima (Isabel) de Brooklyn, NY y Pedro Lima (Maria) de Orlando, FL. Deja un legado amoroso en forma de nueve nietos y sus parejas, Yvette Krupa (Ken), Angelie LaPorta (Gaetano), Pedro Lima (Lisa), Debbie Lima, Angel Lima (Damaris), Aaron Lima (Melissa), Maria Alicea y William Alicea, cada uno de los cuales lleva consigo un pedazo de su amor. Le precedió en la muerte su nieto Benjamin Lima. Le sobreviven 19 bisnietos: Derick (Jessica), Samantha, Christian, Christina (Jimmy), Nikolas, Joseph, Breanna, Owen, Madeleine, Jacob, Priscilla, Anna, Isabella, Phoebe, Elijah, Aviana, Mila, Shaun y Faith.

Se llevará a cabo una visita en la funeraria Clayton & McGirr, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Ruta 524), Freehold Township, el viernes 15 de diciembre de 2023, de 2:00 a 4:00 PM y de 7:00 a 9:00 PM. Amigos y familiares están invitados a reunirse en la funeraria a las 11:00 AM del sábado 16 de diciembre de 2023 para la procesión a su servicio en la tumba a la 1:00 PM en el cementerio Fair View, 456 New Jersey 35, Middletown.
