Esther June Honcoop

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted Christian, Esther June Honcoop, age 89 entered into the presence of the Lord on November 12, 2025, at her home in Lynden, WA. Esther was born in Great Falls, Montana on October 14, 1936. Her parents were Henry and Katherine Vandenacre. She lived in Montana until she was 11 years old and then her family moved to Lynden, WA. Esther graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1955. She met John Honcoop, and they were married on June 12, 1957. She was a stay-at-home mom while her kids were young and as her kids became older, she went to work at the Christian Health Care Center, where she touched many, many lives. She worked there for 40 years and retired in 2016. Esther loved to read, going to Bible study, attending church at Mountain View CRC and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
Esther was the heart of her home and family and will be missed by her surviving children, Glenn Johnson and the late Linda Johnson, Jim Honcoop, Darrell and Esther Honcoop, Warren and Darla DiLorenzo, Leon and Barb Vreeman, Lisa and Brian Kooiman, Duane Honcoop and significant-other Brandie. Esther will also be missed by her 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Esther's sweet personality, faith and kindness towards everyone will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of our savior.

All are welcome to join the family for visitation on Wednesday, November 19th from 5-7pm. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 20th at 1:15pm at Monumenta Cemetery, followed by a 2pm memorial service at Mountainview CRC.
