Esther M. (Reed) Raposa, 87, of Dartmouth died Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at Tufts Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Donald P. Raposa.
Born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Tom and Elsie (Burgess) Reed, she lived in Dartmouth for most of her life.
She was formerly employed as a secretary at St. Luke's Hospital for many years until her retirement.
Esther enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband, watching hummingbirds in the summer, raising her Sheepdogs, reading, and going to the beach.
She is survived by three children, David Raposa and his partner Greg Murray, Donna Lynch and her husband Scott, and Tom Raposa and his wife Debbie; four grandchildren, Kimberly White, Eric Thorpe, Scott Raposa, and Michael Raposa; two sisters, Dorothy Reed and Louise Corrigan; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Turner.
