Esther R. "Skipp" Vincent

WATERFORD Esther R. Vincent, 86, formerly of Van Ness St. passed away peacefully Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Baptist Health Center. Born in Cohoes she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Bouleris Skipp. She was a graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes.

Esther had been employed by Servomation in the cafeteria at the Bendix Plant in Green Island and also at Cluett & Peabody Co. in Troy. With her late husband, Esther had owned and operated the News Den and Variety Shop at the former Pyramid Mall in Saratoga.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking. She was very fond of dogs.

Esther was the widow of Ralph Vincent Sr. who died in 2023. She is the devoted mother of Ralph Vincent Jr. (Steven Galime) of Saratoga springs, Michael Vincent and Colleen Boudreau of Waterford and the late Diane Vincent. She is sister of Clarence Skipp of Mechanicville and the late Genevieve Wason and Mary Krause. She is the proud grandmother of Alex, Rachael, Kevin, Colby and Bailey Vincent, Nicole Boudreau and the late Caylie Boudreau and great grandmother of Amari Vincent. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte.3), Waterford and a 10 am at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Waterford. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm.
