Esther Yoder Obituary
Esther Overholt Yoder passed away November 28, 2025 at the age of 92 at her home in Safford, Alabama. She was born July 17, 1933 in Uniontown, Ohio to the late Henry Joseph Overholt and Amanda Stutzman Overholt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Yoder; granddaughter, Cynthia Dawn Yoder; great-granddaughter, Andrea Kate Peachy; siblings, Harold Overholt, three infant brothers.
She is survived by her children, Miriam (Marvin) Yoder, Lila (William, Jr.) Yoder, Judy (Jonathan) Yoder, Owen (Robin) Yoder, Joyce (Leonard) Weaver and Ken (Bertha) Yoder; thirty grandchildren; fifty-seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth (John) Hershberger, Lewis (Mary Ellen) Overholt, Naomi (Eli) Yoder, Titus (Ellen) Overholt, Paul (Linda) Overholt and Mary (Leon) Zook and countless nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Orrville Amish-Mennonite Church on Saturday, November 29, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with grandson, Dwight Yoder and son-in-law, Jonathan Weaver officiating and directed by the family. She will be laid to rest in the church graveyard following the service.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Yoder, Nathan Yoder, Titus Weaver, Cody Yoder, David Yoder and Jeremy Weaver.
