Virginia Carol Broadhead

Virginia Carol Broadhead passed away February 23, 2026 at the age of 78. She was born February 12, 1948 to the late William Melvin Shelby Ford and Frances Margurite Lindsay Ford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Broadhead; infant son, William Melvin Broadhead; sister, Sharon Lanette (Thomas) Blue; grandchildren, Thomas Daniels Sims, Jason Lawrence and Tana Duke and nephew, Larry Blue.

She is survived by her sons, James Thomas "Pete" (Tammy) Broadhead and John Marcus "Marc" (Juanita) Broadhead; grandchildren, Chrissy (Sam) Smith, Lisa Broadhead, Nathan (Lindy) Broadhead, Josh (Ashley) Broadhead, Jessica (Justin) Edwards and Allen (Courtney) Jatko; great-grandchildren, Lindsey MaKayla Sims, Brooke Lawrence, Robert Joseph Gordon, IV., Elizabeth Gordon, Weston Nichols, Addison Smith, James Samuel Smith, R.J. Burt, Mason Burt, Reagan Burt, Hazelyn Broadhead, Evelyn Broadhead, Raelyn Broadhead, Jeffrey Broadhead, Todd Gibbs, Davain Gibbs, Madison Jatko, Adalynn Jatko, Jason Jatko and John Jatko.

Graveside services will be Friday, February 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Bro. Steve Whitehead officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Selma.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Broadhead, Josh Broadhead, Sam Smith, James Samuel Smith, Joseph Gordon and William Odom.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
