Ethel M. Lewis, 82, of North Manchester, Indiana, passed away into eternal rest on October 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 24, 1943, in North Manchester, she was the daughter of Albert and Mary (Funderburgh) Cook.
Ethel was baptized into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church on July 26, 1958. On July 17, 1960, Ethel married Bud L. Lewis, and together they were blessed with three children. Her early mornings were filled with dedication to the farm, which she balanced with her long-standing career at the Manchester Veterinary Clinic, where she worked alongside Dr. Terrill and later Dr. Pyle for over twenty-eight years before her retirement. Ethel was also passionate about quilting, spending many enjoyable hours creating blankets that she generously donated to the Christian Aid Ministry and Galilean Children’s Home.
