Ethel Fay Richardson, age 87 of Clinton passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was born June 29, 1934 in McGuffey, OH, a daughter of the late Fred and Bessie (Clark) Patterson.
Fay worked for DST in Clinton and was Plant Manager at Digitron in Livonia for 27 years. She belonged to 4-H and served as a sewing leader when her children were active in4-H. She enjoyed mushroom hunting, cooking and gardening. Fay loved her family, she enjoyed Sunday dinner, family gatherings on Christmas Eve and even if you were not family, you were always welcome in her home for dinner.
Fay is survived by her children, Sherry (Gary) Alcock of Clinton, Joyce (Robert) Vogel of Brooklyn, Susanna (Rick) Cole of Hudson and Douglas Richardson of Clinton; 12 grandchildren, Kristen Hardcastle, Jeremy Richardson, Craig Alcock, Deanna Wren, Brad Cole, Karie Gibson, Jessie King, Jacob Vogel, Kyle Vogel, Melissa Cole, Ethan Cole and Ashley Brown; 21 great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Richardson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richardson, son Tracy Richardson, siblings, Bob Patterson, Harold Patterson, Kenny Patterson, Kathern Patterson Randall, Mary Patterson Manchester, Dorthy Patterson Spaur and Arthur Patterson.
Visitation for Fay will be from 11 am – 1 pm on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Mitch Frost officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee and Lenawee County 4-H.
