Ethel Watson, age 78, of Gallatin, passed away suddenly Friday, January 31, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1946, in Bethpage, Tennessee, to her parents, James and Clara Adcock. Ethel was one of thirteen children. She was known for being a hard worker. Ethel most recently worked as a cook at McDonalds, for nearly 21 years. Before that, she worked as a custodian for Sumner County Schools for 10 years.
Outside of work, Ethel loved her Maltese, named Sophie and to tend to her flowers and plants- especially elephant ears. She also enjoyed buying produce from the Mennonites to share with her family.
Ethel was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who will be dearly missed.
Ethel May (Adcock) Watson is survived by her daughter, Denise Spicuzza; son, William Watson (Shona); grandchildren, Chris Gregory, Danielle Gregory, Tiffany Maples (Jeffery), Zayne Watson (Maria); great-grandchildren, Hadley Butler, Braden Butler, Rylan Watson, Liam Watson, Emma Maples, Cooper Maples, Isabella Watson, Mila Watson, Ketziah Cardenas; sisters, Joyce Hall (Eddie), Reba Teckinbrock; and sister-in-laws, Robbin Adcock, and Joyce Adcock. She is also survived by a child that held a special place in her heart Tyler McMurtry (Abbey).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Rena Brinkley; father, James Thomas Adcock; mother, Clara Dayton (Thompson); five brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial gathering in honor of Ethel Watson will take place at Crestview Funeral Home, on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Inurnment in Crestview Memory Gardens will follow her cremation.
