EUGENE'S LIFE
Eugene Baines Wilson, affectionately known as "Bud", "Mac" or "Uncle Bud," transitioned to his everlasting home on Saturday, December 18, 2021. He was born to the late Edna Baines and Martin Wilson in Snow Hill, Maryland on March 18, 1942.
In Eugene's younger years, he received his education in the public school system of Worcester County, Maryland. He started working at Paul Jones Lumber Company when he was seventeen (17) years old and remained there until retirement.
Eugene was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He enjoyed visiting family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren. There wasn't a night that Eugene, Little Bud and Alphonzo weren't together, cutting up and laughing, or stopping by his sister Emma Jane's house to see if she cooked the turtle from the day before. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking, especially his big pots of spaghetti, beef stew and deer stew on Friday nights. And let's not forget about his favorite pastime, Sunday morning fishing trips riding shotgun with Gilbert. He led a full life until the very end.
Left to cherish precious memories of Eugene's life are: his daughters, Eungenia (Chris) Wilson of Pocomoke City, Maryland and Angelias Wilcox (Alex) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sons, Anthony Wilcox of Salisbury, Maryland and Claude Ward of Ocean City, Maryland; grandchildren, Tre'Quan Wilson, Kendall Burkhead, Alexis Wilcox, Aliya Wilcox, LaToya Wilcox, Toni Mumford, Paige Wilcox, Tyler Wilcox, Anthony Dorman, Ariey Finney, Taylor Bailey and Tyler Bailey; great grandchildren, Autumn, Zoey, Malik, John, Jr., Joe, Jay, Laya, Payton and Jordan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Wilson, son, Mike, sisters, Emma Jane, Eunice, Pauline, Mable, Sarah and Hilda and one brother, George.
